It's been a dry October, but beautiful.
Take a walk with me in my woods before the rains come.....
The day is overcast, but the soft light through the leaves is lovely.
The forest floor is littered with gold.
Vine maple in fall has brilliant red leaves.
A mysterious burl stump.
The pond is covered in leaves too.
The madrone has interesting bark.
Pretty madrone berries provide food for wildlife.
Our State flower, Oregon Grape is loved by wildlife too.
Some folks make jelly with these berries.
More berries for the forest dwellers.
Everyone loves blackberries.
